Wednesday, July 26
This morning we enjoy a nice drive as we travel to Quincy, IL. We will arrive at our first stop, Underbrink’s Bakery. Here we will have a behind the scenes tour of this authentic 1929 working German Bakery. After an included Lunch at The Pier Restaurant, we will spend the afternoon with a Step-On Guided Tour of Quincy,  with stops at the Villa Katherine Castle & the Historic Dr. Eells House.  Enjoy Quincy’s rich history & architecture from the comforts of your motor coach.  A knowledgeable step-on guide will provide interesting insights and stories along the way.  The Villa Katherine is a Mediterranean Castle overlooking the Mississippi River built in 1900 by world traveler George Metz, which now serves as Quincy’s Tourist Information Center. Dr. Richard Eells was a Quincy physician and leading abolitionist who built this two-story brick house, that was an Underground Railroad site from 1835 - 1846.  For the next two nights we will be staying at the Hampton Inn in Quincy, IL.  Dinner this evening is included at the “One” Restaurant.   (L/D)  
Thursday, July 27
Start the morning with breakfast at the Hotel.  Depart and tour the History Museum. The Quincy History Museum takes you through more than 400 years of some of America's richest, most influential history.Meet rebels and reformers, workers and visionaries.  This afternoon we will have a Step-On Guided Tour of Nauvoo. We will meet our guide at the Joseph Smith Historic Site Visitor Center and learn about the city’s 200 year history, including information about the Mormon and Icarian influences on the City of Nauvoo. Next, we will visit the Family Living Center where we will experience several 19th century trades that were a way of life in Nauvoo in the 1840’s.  Or, you may also visit the Browning Gun Smith Home and learn about the humble beginnings of the worldwide Browning Arms Corporation. See authentic rifles, handguns, and shotguns from the early 1800s and their present-day counterparts. Then, we will visit the Historic Nauvoo Visitor Center and see further details of the Mormon period in Nauvoo, a relief map of 1846 Nauvoo, the Monument to Women Statue Garden, along with countless historic artifacts and displays.  Next, we will visit Baxter’s Vineyards & Winery, the oldest winery in the state of Illinois where the Baxter family has been making wine since 1857. After an included Dinner at Hotel Nauvoo, we will enjoy some Free Time in Nauvoo before returning to Quincy.  (B, D)
Friday, July 28
Enjoy breakfast at the Hotel before departing for the Historic John Wood Mansion. The stately Greek Revival - style mansion of John Wood, an Illinois Governor and Quincy’s founder, was built in 1835.  Then, after an included Lunch at Texas Roadhouse, we will stop at The Whole Scoop Ice Cream Shop before we return home with many memories to share.    (B/L)

Deposit of $100.00 due upon reserving
Balance due by June 26, 2017

Cancellation Policy/Refunds

If you must cancel on a 1 day tour and it is within 10 days of departure, refunds will be based on deposits returned to Mid-American Coaches prior to trip departure.  We do however, allow you to get another person to fill your seat.   If  we have a wait list, we will try to fill the seat from our wait list.  If we do not have a standby list, you will not receive a refund.
Once final payment (30days prior) is made on multi day trips 2 or more days,  cancellation of passengers will have to be filed on the cancellation insurance that is available  for all multi-day tours.  No insurance is sold on 2 day trips.
If you have elected to not purchase the insurance, Mid-American Coaches has the right to retain any monies paid by customer.  If this seat is resold, then at that point you may receive a refund.
Any fly/international/rail/cruise tours will have exceptions that will be covered at the time of booking.
If you are forced to leave a tour anytime after departure, refunds will be based on monies that are recoverable.  Refunds cannot be made for unused motorcoach transportation.
